- United States: often $15–$35/hr; wider range up to $75/hr for specialist care
Platform commission is 40% — sitters set rates accordingly. Parents pay through the platform; sitters receive their share after the job is completed.
Payment provider & security
Global Sitters uses Mollie B.V. (Amsterdam) as our payment service provider. Parents pay by card or supported local methods through Mollie's secure hosted checkout — we do not store full card numbers on our servers.
- Provider: Mollie — EU-licensed payment institution
- Infrastructure: TLS-encrypted checkout, webhook confirmation, and auditable payment records in our platform
- Payouts: Platform commission is deducted automatically; sitters receive their share after the job is completed
- Testing: When no live Mollie key is configured, bookings can be confirmed in paper/demo mode for testing
Night taxi receipts from sitters can be added to the final payment when applicable.
